About

Where I Come From

I was born and raised in Washington and am proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran and hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My clinical experience includes several years working in a community care clinic supporting active-duty service members and their families, as well as working in a group practice with couples and individuals from the broader civilian community. I work with individuals and couples navigating a wide range of concerns, including life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, trauma, and mental health difficulties. Because of my military background, I feel a particular calling to support active-duty service members, veterans, law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families. I understand that service-oriented careers can involve unique pressures, responsibilities, and experiences that are not always easy to explain to people outside of those communities. My goal is to provide a grounded, respectful space where you can speak openly, process difficult experiences, strengthen your relationships, and work toward meaningful change. My Christian faith shapes the compassion, humility, and respect I bring to my work. However, you do not need to be a Christian or hold any particular religious beliefs to work with me. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and perspectives, and I do not bring judgment, pressure, or assumptions into the room. You are welcome here exactly as you are. When I am not working with clients, you will often find me spending time outdoors. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest gave me a lasting appreciation for nature and its ability to create space for reflection, restoration, and connection. I believe caring for our mental health extends beyond the therapy room and can include the places, activities, and relationships that help us feel grounded. www.groundforcetherapy.com
